How to trade IQ Option on a Demo account with 6 steps
Step 1: Log in your IQ Option account and select Demo
Log in the account you created. And choose Trade Now. Never deposit without knowing anything about options as well as IQ Option. We always tell traders that you should trade Demo at least 1 week to learn and improve your opening options skill.
Step 2: Choose the trading asset at IQ Option and the most profitable currency pairs
Besides the options trading platform, IQ Option also has other platforms such as Forex, Stocks, Cryptocurrency, etc. But in this article, we only guide you to get acquainted with Options (or Binary Options).
On the Binary tab, you choose the most profitable currency pairs. For example, in this case, you can trade Demo with EUR/JPY.
Step 3: Choose a chart type and an appropriate candle time period at IQ Option
After choosing for yourself a trading asset, it’s time to set up the IQ Option interface. Don’t let the lines go up and down. Choose a candlestick chart as the following picture.
Why should you choose a candlestick chart? Because almost all methods that can make money at IQ Option come from candlestick charts. Therefore, let’s familiarize yourself with this type of chart.
Next is the candle time period on the IQ Option trading interface. Don’t start too fast with a 1-minute candlestick. Choose a longer time interval like 5 minutes. A 5-minute candle time period will help you feel more comfortable.
Step 4: Choose an expiration time for a trade
Depending on the candle time period on the chart, you choose the appropriate expiration time for 1 trade. Don’t start with short time intervals like 30 second or 1 minute. It will make you have a habit of trading fast and want to earn fast. That is very dangerous!
Step 5: Trading amount in 1 option at IQ Option
You have a total of $10,000 in the Demo account. But don’t use a large amount of money. It is easy to stimulate your greed. Just start with $1 – $1 – $1. That would be better.
Step 6: Bet Higher or Lower?
This is the step that determines your profits. If you predict the price will increase within the expiration time you chose, click Higher. On the contrary, if you predict the price will decrease, click Lower.
Purchase time (countdown time frame) is the remaining time for you to open a trade. While the purchase time is still available, you can continue to open options if you want.
Assuming you open a Lower option, you will see it like this picture.
But when the purchase time changes to the expiration time, you can’t open any more options. Either you wait for time to pass and see the option which has just ended wins or loses. Or you click New Option to open a new one.
In the beginning, you will find it a bit confusing. Opening options will be quite complicated but it only takes 30 minutes to get acquainted. Then you will understand everything.
